Post-Tension Repair

Specialised repair and maintenance for post-tensioned concrete systems, where the tendon carrying the load is the thing that has corroded.

Tendon repair and replacement

Locating the failure, de-tensioning safely, and repairing or replacing the tendon so the slab carries its design load again.

Grouting

Re-grouting ducts to eliminate the voids that let water sit against the strand.

Corrosion protection

Treating and protecting the anchorage and strand so the same failure does not return along the run.

Investigation and scope

Establishing how far the condition extends before pricing the repair, rather than discovering it mid-project.

Common questions

How do I know if I have post-tension slabs?
Most South Florida mid- and high-rise buildings from the 1970s onward use them. Signs include rust staining or blowouts at slab edges and cracking that runs with the tendon line. We can look before you commit to a scope.
Is this different from ordinary concrete repair?
Yes. A post-tensioned slab is under load from the tendon itself. Cutting into one without de-tensioning it correctly is dangerous, which is why it is priced and sequenced separately.

Who this is for

Condominium associations, parking structures, and commercial buildings with post-tensioned slabs.
